Issues of intellectual property in regional economic agreements

Abstract

The article focuses on protection of intellectual property rights in the framework of regional economic blocs. The author makes brief analysis of the state of things in this area in such integration blocs as NAFTA, MERCOSUR and ASEAN. The main accent is made on the protection of intellectual property rights in the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan with the analysis of the basic documents on intellectual property rights. In addition to the general issues, the attention is paid to some practical aspects such as the Unified Customs Register of Intellectual Property Objects of the Customs Union.
