Trends in Algeria’s Foreign Trade and Cooperation with Russia

Abstract

The article analyzes Algeria’s foreign trade, and in particular Russia—Algeria cooperation in trade and identification of promising areas of cooperation. The paper examines the current trends in exports and imports of goods, as well as identifies opportunities for further expansion of trade and economic cooperation. The article presents an analysis of data on Algeria’s foreign trade in recent years and a comparative analysis of the revealed comparative advantage (RCA) index of Algeria with other countries in the region. Finally, conclusions are drawn regarding the promising areas of cooperation in trade between Russia and Algeria, which could strengthen cooperation and expand bilateral trade.
