Development of the global tourism market: new trends

Abstract

In the article, the author considers the development trends in international tourism, analyzes the factors influencing its growth. International tourism makes an essential contribution to the economic development of accepting and transit countries, promotes knowledge and cultural exchange. Intensive use of information and computer technologies, and expanded use of new means of personal communication on the Internet, promotes the sales of tourism services. Moreover, the sales of tourism-related goods and services also increase. All this creates favourable conditions for the development of tourism in Russia. The data on the growth in the expenditures of Russian tourists abroad are provided.
