Features of import of medicines into Russia

Abstract

The purpose of state regulation of the turnover of medicines is to increase availability and affordability of medicines and treatment-and-prophylactic establishments for the population. However, despite ongoing efforts, at present sufficiently large amount of medicines is imported into Russia. And it occurs even despite the fact that the procedure of importing medicines to the territory of the Russian Federation is rather difficult and demands unwieldy document fl ow. In the article the main problems of the Russian pharmaceutical market are covered and the reasons of its appeal to foreign producers are analyzed.
