Abstract

The article shows Moscow as a major economic, financial and commercial center of the country and an absolute leader among Russian regions involved in foreign economic activities. The authors consider the existing imbalances in the foreign trade activities of the capital, caused by external and internal factors, and justify the major directions of Moscow’s foreign economic activities in the short and long-term future.
