Abstract

The article deals with the prospects of relations between Russia and the OECD. It analyzes the main problems in the accession negotiations, and explains the conflict between the regulations and practices adopted in the OECD and Russia. The article reveals the issue of the expected benefits to Russia from accession to the OECD. Among them are involvement of strong R&D capacity of the organization, counteraction of offshore zones activities, strengthening tax cooperation between member countries, coordination of corporate governance and other important matters.
