Abstract

The article analyzes the current role of Brazil in the global economy. The importance of Brazil as one of the global centers of the geo-economic multipolarity is emphasized. The sectoral growth poles of the Brazilian economy are analyzed. The competitive position of Brazil within the system of global economic interactions is considered. Particular attention is paid to the processes of regionalization within the integrating South American economic space. Significant part of the article is devoted to the analysis of the geo-economic alliance MERCOSUR. The importance of economic and political aspects in the framework of regional economic integrations is emphasized.
