Abstract

One of the fundamental tasks in boosting Russian exports is to develop foreign economic relations with the post-Soviet States. The countries of Central Asia might be the promising Russia’s partners. The solution to the problem of strengthening the Russian presence in the region lies in the ways of establishing effective and multifaceted foreign economic cooperation between Russia and the most dynamically developing Central Asian States, including Uzbekistan. The article examines the main features of the current model of economic growth in Uzbekistan, as well as the prospects for Russian-Uzbek foreign economic cooperation in terms of opportunities to promote business interests of Russia, both in this country and in the region as a whole.
