Corporate governance and delegation: the adaptation of the European experience in the Russian business

The article is devoted to the problem of choosing the appropriate company management style, which is one of the key issues of corporate governance relevant for the Russian business. The article provides the analysis of advantages and disadvantages of different management styles existing in Europe. In particular, Harzburg management model based on the delegation of authorities and responsibilities is presented. The possibility to adapt the examined management model in Russian business environment is analyzed in theory and practice, as well as the main barriers encountered during the process of management transformation. The article demonstrates that such adaptation is possible and rather efficient, subject to the systemic approach and maximum involvement of employees in transformation processes.
