Abstract

The article considers the instruments of Belarus trade policy before and after the creation of the Customs Union; in particular, it analyzes foreign and domestic trade trends with a view to identifying the static effects of integration, changes in tariff regulation and non-tariff methods of protecting the domestic market. Special attention is paid to comparing the changes in Belarus trade policy in key areas (customs tariff, foreign trade structure and others) with partner countries for integration (Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia). In addition, a list of non-tariff barriers (exemptions, restrictions, barriers) that limit mutual trade within the integration is provided.
