The impact of regional integration on the developed economies: the EU experience

The article deals with the essential features of the development of the leading Euro area countries how integration processes influence the main macroeconomic indicators. Through crossnational analysis, the authors investigate the dynamic and geographical trends of integration and disintegration processes, identify volatility limits of the social and economic indicators in Germany, Britain and France in comparison with the European trends. The results of the analysis prove the discrete nature of the Eurozone expansion with negative effects on the growth of the member countries.
