Convergence mechanisms for national electric power complexes within the Eurasian Economic Union

Abstract

The article is devoted to the development of the Eurasian economic union, within the framework of which it is planned to create common markets for fuel and energy resources. The study analyzes the main problems associated with convergence of national electric power complexes into a single supranational structure of the EAEU. The author proposes the mechanisms of the most effective convergence that require creation of a supranational parity body, harmonization of national legislation in the field of electric power and establishment of a supranational body responsible for managing the energy system of the Eurasian economic union.
